The Mirettes

The
Mirettes (Vanetta Fields (lead), Jessie Smith and Robbie Montgomery,)
The group were originally formed as The Ikettes (Ike & Tina Turners’ backing singers), and had several hits under that name. However, when they left the Ike Turner fold they were no longer allowed to use the name the Ikettes, so re-named the group The Mirettes.
