The Jaynetts

The Jaynetts (these 45's are actually "Baby" Washington singing lead on two songs for The Hearts, that had been recorded in 1957. This set of The Jaynetts was Zell Sanders (the president of J &S records) way of keeping all The Hearts various members together and also of having enough members to form two groups. Zell Sanders would not use this name again for another five years)

The Jaynetts (core members from 1963 ~ 1964 were Lezli Valentine, Marie Hood (Now working for the US Postal Service) and Louise (Harris) Murray ---- other members Yvonne Bushnell (a former member of Lady Fox & The Foxettes on Don-El), Ethel Davis, Selena Healey, Ada Ray Kelly, Marlina Mars, Mary Green Wilson and Iggy Williams)

The Clickettes (members Lezli Valentine, Marlina Mars and Iggy Williams --- when The Clickettes ( the Barbara English version of the group) left Zell Sanders DICE record label they found out that Zell Sanders had all rights to the name, so they changed their name to The Fashions. Meanwhile Zell Sanders started to use the various members of The Hearts and The Jaynetts to form a new set of Clickettes. This was the only release from that version of the group)
