The Avons

The Avons (members Paula Hester, Beverly Bard and her sister Fran Bard)

Groove 58-0022 - Oh, Gee Baby / Push A Little Harder - 1963 (some copies issued with picture sleeve)

In 1968 both Peggy Gaines and The Avons each recorded for the Ref-O-Ree label of Nashville. Both acts also recorded cover versions of charted records for the local budget Hit label. We tend to believe The Avons used the monicker Jenny & The Jewels at that time, can any of our readers please verify this claim?
